Negotiations galore – Political and technical staff on “high alert”

A deal is nigh

The sudden “clime” change in the technical negotiations in Brussels reintroduce optimism to the Greek government, with the possibility of a deal ever nearer.

In order to “close the case”, the PM is constantly communicating with foreign leaders. Talks with the German chancellor are continuous. Government sources are pleased with the chancellor’s latest attempts to push forth for a deal. The US’ decision to also push for a deal is something which pleases the government as well. The Greek PM, thus, has set all his staff on “high alert” status in order to get all the above, done, and reach a final deal.
