An opinion poll conducted by Marc for private TV Alpha showed a 3.6% lead of main opposition SYRIZA over major coalition government partner New Democracy (ND).

More specifically, according to results of the poll, SYRIZA leads with 28.5% followed by ND with 24.9%, Golden Dawn with 5.8%, the Communist Party (KKE) and To Potami with 5.6%, PASOK with 4.8%, Independent Greeks with 3%, LAOS with 1.5% and Democratic Left (DIMAR) with 1.4%.

It should be noted that 5.5% of the respondents said they will vote for another party and 7.8% refused to answer.

The poll was conducted from 11-14 December 2014.
