UKIP leader Nigel Farage said that Europe’s immediate response to the migrant crisis will only lead to more deaths. The outspoken leader said he shares people’s concerns, but “we have to let our short-term emotional reaction be overcome by a more considered view. Which is, how do we stop more pictures of three-year-old kids being dragged dead out of the Mediterranean?” He implies that it cannot be done by freely opening the EU borders.
