Norman Atlantic: Autopsies point to shark attacks!

It is still unclear whether the shark attacks took place before or after the passengers had died

Shocking new information about the Norman Atlantic shipwreck appeared in the Italian press on Tuesday stating that the first autopsies indicate that those who jumped overboard to save themselves may have been attacked by sharks. Nine of the coronary reports performed in Bari on Monday note that it is still unclear if the dead passengers were attacked by sharks prior to their death or after they had already drowned.

Analysis of the two Voyage Data Recorders (black boxes) belonging to the Norman Atlantic is due to start on January 20. Italian prosecutors hope that they will be able to gather important information concerning Captain Argilio Giacomazzi’s communication with the coastal guard and the way in which the evacuation process took place.
