Phil Stern: The stars photographer during the “golden” era of Holywood

Merilyn Mornoe, James Dean and Humphrey Bogart as you have not seen before

During the golden age of Hollywood, many were those who “hunt” the biggest star with a camera in their hand, but few were those who “hunt” at the right time.

One of them was Phil Stern, the photographer and artist as well as the beloved child of the biggest stars of the era.

His work was hosted at the biggest magazines of the early ’40, 50s and 60s and the critics of the time subclinical to his talent.

With his camera captured Humphrey Bogart doing seesaw with his daughter, the “eternal” blonde Merilyn facing uncomfortable the great actor Jack Benny, the James Dean hiding under his sweater.

On the occasion of the 95th birthday of Stern, 95 of his photographs, will be presented on Saturday the 6th of  September at the Veterans Homes in Los Angeles. Have a look at some of them:
