Paleos Panteleimonas Square in Pieria, the smallest regional unit within Macedonia. The name originates from the ancient tribe Pieres and has many sites of archeological interest such as Dion, Pydna and Platamonas. It is the home to Mt. pierus where Hermes launched himself from to visit Calypso in the Odyssey. It is also home to Orpheus and the Muses as well as the Pierian Spring, Mt. Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and throne to the ancient Greek gods.
