Volos is one of the largest and most attractive cities in Greece with a great mythical background. Magnesia is believed to be the birthplace of Centaurs, beings which were part equine, part human.

It also known for its great tsipouradika; restaurants located along the port which offer tsipouro (a traditional Greek drink) and a lot of mezedakia (side dishes) which accompany perfectly tsipouro. There are many other dishes and drinks available, but we highly recommend you to try tsipouro and mezedakia, when visiting Volos.
