The 10 most beautiful caves in Greece – The Cave of Melissani

This is a very rare geological phenomenon. The Melissani lake-cave is located 2 km northwest of Sami at Kefalonia. The natural entrance of the cave is vertical (40×50 m) and was created by the fall of a section of its roof. However, there is also an artificial entrance with stairs that allows a visit to the cave.
