Thailand, Aruba and Florida take the top spots

TripAdvisor has released its list of the best beaches in the world for 2025, as determined by the world’s largest travel platform.

According to the results of the Travellers’ Choice awards for the top 25 beaches worldwide, Elafonisi Beach in Crete takes the top spot.

Following in the global ranking are Banana Beach in Thailand, Eagle Beach in Aruba, Siesta Beach in Florida, and Praia da Falésia in Portugal. Australia dropped to 15th place with Manly Beach, while the top beach in the UK is Weymouth Beach.

Elafonisi Beach in Crete stands out for its crystal-clear waters and pink sand, and is part of the Natura protected areas network, as it is an ecosystem of exceptional ecological importance. It is flooded every year by thousands of tourists who wish to experience its stunning turquoise waters.
