Conservative New Democracy (ND) Prime Minister Antonis Samaras cast his vote at 8.20 a.m. on Sunday.
He made a statement: “These elections are decisive for our future and the future of our children. Today we decide if we will go forth with strength, security and certainty or if we will enter new problems.”
At the eleventh hour, he called for the undecided voters to join him in Greece’s recovery. “I am optimistic because I know that nobody will risk the European course of our country,” he said.
