PM Mitsotakis addresses Parliament on mandatory vaccination bill

The bill includes matters concerning the battle against aids

PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed the Parliament on Wednesday in light of legislation mandating vaccinations for citizens over 60 years old, which he announced yesterday during a cabinet meeting.

The amendment for the mandatory vaccination of unvaccinated persons over 60 years of age and the imposition of a fine of 100 euros per month for those who fail to get vaccinated by January 16, 2022, was submitted to Parliament.

According to the regulation, especially for the month of January, the fine is set at 50 euros, while if the liable persons are vaccinated within the first 15 days of the following months, the fine (monthly) will be reduced by 50%. For example, if the taxpayer is vaccinated on March 10, the total fine he will pay will be 200 euros
