The need for the country to have a strong and independent government after the elections were pointed out by the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis from Fthiotida.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that May is approaching and bringing a new spring with the double message of victory that the citizens will send. “We will win the elections so that Greece can move forward faster, ” said the Prime Minister speaking at a New Democracy party event at the Municipal Theater of Lamia.
“Rumeli’s heart is blue today. And with your own dynamic presence, the best answer to those who doubt that the ND is the great faction that guarantees stability. Only we can lead Greece to the future it deserves and we will do it. We will win in the next elections to run even faster forward, to change the country more boldly, more effectively, for a homeland that will make us really proud”, he noted.
Mitsotakis also said that “May is near bringing a new spring with your double message. It is a message of reflection and collective reconstruction after the tragedy of Tempi (train crash). It is also a message of battle to keep the country on a path of prosperity. The light of the new Greece must spread everywhere and to everyone.
“We already know that in Tempi human errors met with the shortcomings of a problematic organisation, with endless problems that unfortunately we were not able to fully reorganise before the evil caught up with us. That is why I took responsibility in the name of all those who ruled the country, as the drama happened with us at the helm.”
Referring to the tragedy of Tempi Mr. Mitsotakis noted that he personally never hid, nor did he say that everyone else is to blame but us. “We are the first to have the duty to shape the conditions so that such an evil will never happen again,” noted the prime minister.
“I consider this promise a sacred duty. No one is hurting more today than the families of the victims. I will not follow those who pour partisan venom over a national wound. I stick to the obvious truth” he said immediately afterward and pointed his arrows at SYRIZA.
