Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has travelled to Brussels on Thursday to participate in the EU summit to take place on December 18 and 19.

The EU summit’s agenda includes a number of important issues, such as the EU Commission chief Jean Claude Juncker’s 315 billion euro investment plan, the developments in Ukraine and the relations between the EU member states and Russia.

The Greek issue is also expected to be discussed on the sidelines of the summit, even though it is not included in the official agenda. PM Samaras will probably discuss the political developments in Greece following the first vote of the presidential elections with his counterparts and other European officials.
