PM Samaras: We are boosting growth in Greece

He characterized the fund as a valuable breather for growth

In his address at an event that was held on the occasion of the signing of the first loan agreements for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as part of the new Institution for Growth fund in Greece, Mr. Samaras noted that the government is boosting growth by realizing one of its most important commitments.

The Prime Minister said that Greece is taking a big step in order to turn a new page and achieve the goal of sustainable development.

Mr. Samaras underlined that the government is promoting economic growth with deeds, facilitating Greek entrepreneurship. Moreover, he noted that by supporting the most dynamic units of the Greek economy, the government strengthens the economic growth mechanism.

Characterizing the fund as a valuable breather for growth that will support liquidity and development of SMEs, the prime minister concluded by outlining the positive effects the fund will have on fighting unemployment.

Also speaking at the event were Development Minister Costas Skrekas and KfW Senior Vice-President Lutz-Christian Funke.
