PM Tsipras’ critical meeting with Chancellor Merkel on Monday

Several burning issues will be discussed during this meeting

The government is working around the clock to prepare the detailed list of reforms that the Greek side will present at tomorrow’s critical meeting between Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.

Several burning issues will be discussed during this meeting, including the serious challenges Europe is facing as well as bilateral issues.

According to information, the new measures proposed by the Greek Government will include a targeted policy against tax-evasion, a privatization model with simultaneous development of public property as well as radical measures for the restructuring of the state and the facilitation of procedures of litigation and proceeding before justice.

German Chancellor Merkel said on Friday that Greece, which faces a cash crunch within weeks, would only receive funds once its creditors approve the reforms which the Greek Prime Minister promised to deliver soon. She also made clear that the measures presented should ensure a primary surplus.

However, the Chancellor’s spokeswoman stated that Merkel does not expect a a complete and final draft of the list at tomorrow’s meeting.
