Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras arrived in Izmir, Turkey, shortly after 1pm on Tuesday and he met with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu.
Their meeting takes places just a few hours after EU summit on refugee held in Brussels concluded.
Mr. Tsipras will participate in the 4th meeting of the bilateral High-Level Cooperation Council on the development of bilateral Greek-Turkish relations, mainly in the economic sector, as well as the migration crisis.
Moroever, Mr. Tsipras will be awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Political Economy by a private university, according to Turkish sources. The ceremony has already been scheduled to take place at İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi, belongs to Izmir Chamber of Commerce, according to Turkish.
