According to his representative, Pope Francis will give a speach on the 25th of next November  before the members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardy stated that “The pope has accepted the invitation to visit and make a speech to the European Parliament elected  members during a formal session”. Further he noted that this will be a short stay not a formal visit.

The Argentinian pope will be the second to take the floor at the European Parliament: the first was John Paul the Second on the 11th of October 1988.
