President Papoulias offers condolences in wake of Charlie Hebdo tragedy

The Greek president expressed his indignation and grief over the tragic attack

Greek President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias sent a telegram to French President Francois Hollande offering his condolences for the tragic terrorist attack against the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, which killed 12 people on Wednesday.

“Full of indignation and grief, I was informed about the terrorist attack that took place in Paris, causing the death of 12 people and the injury of many others. On behalf of the Greek people and myself personally, I express my strongest condemnation for this criminal act as well as my feelings of solidarity towards the French people, the families of the victims and the wounded ones,” Mr. Papoulias said.
