Prime Minister and Minister of Education to discuss on universities’ financial situation

The meeting will be attended by government Vice-President Evangelos Venizelos

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and Minister of Education Andreas Loverdos will meet this morning at Maximos Mansion to discuss the current financial situation of Greek universities and try to find a solution for the funding issues.

The meeting will be attended by government Vice-President Evangelos Venizelos and Deputy Finance Minister Christos Staikouras and they will seek ways to address issues arisen due to budget cuts (12% – 18%), while the cut in researches is much higher.

Another meeting will follow at 12:30 which will be attended by the Minister and Deputy Minister of Administrative Reform, Mr. Mitsotakis and Christophilopoulou respectively, regarding the pending issues of the ministry.
