A circular issued by the Holy Synod about protecting unborn children will be read today in all the Churches

Several people gathered on Thursday morning outside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens to protest a circular issued by the Holy Orthodox Synod calling on women to protect unborn children to be read in all Churches throughout Greece today on the celebration of the birthday of the Virgin Mary.

Women numbering in the tens gathered outside the Church courtyard to voice their opposition to the circular shouting slogans and holding up banners and placards with slogans for the self-determination of the female body.
