Putin’s visit to Athens brings no hope

There is a very slim chance that the two countries will sign important agreements

Although the Greek government says that the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Athens is particularly important and will only have positive results for Greece’s economy, there is a very slim chance that the two countries will sign important agreements.

During his two-day visit, Mr. Putin will meet with President of Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

The Russian president is scheduled to stay at the Saint Panteleimon Monastery on Saturday, May 28 to attend the celebrations for the 1000 year anniversary for Russian presence at Mount Athos.
