Elvis Presley’s glasses and Jimmy Hendrix’s arrest papers among the items to be sold off

Elvis Presley’s purple glasses and a Beatles PL signed by the members of the legendary band are among the items to be auctioned off during Julien’s “Icons abd Idols: Rock ‘n Roll Auction”, schedule to take place on November 5 in Los Angeles. The auction house expects the guitar of Slash, from rock band Guns N’ Roses will attract the most interest with the bidding believed to exceed 80,000 US dollars, according to Reuters. Eric Clapton has place 20 of his personal and professional items up for sale, including signed boots and clothes. The money raised will go to Crossroads Centre, a drug treatment centre Clapton established in 2007. Other items to go up for sale are two rare Prince photographs, his 1959 L48 Gibson guitar, as well as the late singer’s jacket on during his on-stage appearance at the premiere of Under the Cherry Moon in Wyoming in 1986. The Beatle’s unique album “Hard Day’s Night”, the cover of which has the signatures of the group’s members, is expected to draw the attention of bidders, as well as a Grammy plaque for the band and a John Lennon photo with Yoko Ono. An interesting piece to go up for sale are police arrest files of Rock legend Jimmy Hendrix. The piano Frank Sinatra gifted to daughter Tina, the guitar of the U2’s Edge and a signed contract of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, are also included in the list of items for the day’s auction.
