Refugees block a 2nd part of a Greek national highway in the north

Skirmishes with truck drivers

Refugees and illegal immigrants have blocked the Thessaloniki-Evzones national highway in northern Greece about 100 meters away from the Idomeni camp. The refugees and illegal immigrants have gathered nearly 3klm from the Greek-FYROM borders and are demanding they open up. Meanwhile, another group of refugees are still protesting for a second day in a row against the sealed borders by blocking the same highway at the Polykastro detour. They have set up tents on the road and are allowing passenger vehicles and buses to pass through, but are blocking the passage to trucks, something which has caused scuffles and remonstrations by truck drivers.
