Registered unemployment reduced in August‏

The highest unemployment rate was recorded in the 30-54 age

The number of registered unemployed reduced 0.29% (2,353), in August compared with July, according to the Organization of Workforce Employment (OAED).

The number of registered unemployed totaled 815,434 in August, down from 817,787 in August last year, of which 456,285 were registered unemployed for more than 12 months, while the remaining 359,149 were registered unemployed for less than 12 months.

The number of unemployed people not seeking work reduced by 3.01% in August to 130,703, while the number of unemployed people receiving unemployment benefit raised by 106,350 (5.03% ) in August from 101,257 in July, of which 38.08% were men and 61.92% women.

The highest unemployment rate was recorded in the 30-54 age at 62.81%.
