Russia gains 4 more districts in Bakhmut

Ukraine denied Russia controls 85-90% of Bakhmut

The representative of the Russian Ministry of Defence, Igor Konashenkov, said yesterday Sunday that Russian troops conquered four more parts of the – almost completely destroyed – city of Bakhmut, in eastern Ukraine, the battle for which has been raging since the summer of 2022.

Hostilities in the city have intensified in recent weeks. Kiev denied Russian announcements that 85-90% of Bakhmut is now in the hands of Moscow forces.

Last Saturday, a representative of the Ukrainian army assured that the Russian forces have not cut off the supply routes of units operating in the city.

The announcements of the warring parties are impossible to independently verify.
