Samaras: We reply to “Plan Z” with development

He announced development projects worth 12.5 million, in Katakolon

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras is visiting Katakolon.

The PM visited the harbor of the area where he announced that the works in Katakolon will begin next week, and stated that research and extraction of oil will not affect the environment.

“In this beautiful area of Katakolo here in Ilia, there has already been an influx of tourism. Over one million tourists per year from this point on. How? Cruise ships. It is this area, right after Piraeus, which has received cruise ships. So, as one can realize, tourism development is something absolutely necessary, as well as infrustructure, in order to receive these tourists”, underlined the prime minister and announced that next week “just as we had promised”, the projects worth 12.5 million euros, will begin.

According to Mr. Samaras this will take place with the 7.5 million that will be aimed at redeveloping the commercial port area.
