The refugee center in the Greek island of Samos was turned into a battlefield on Thursday evening when Afghans, Pakistanis and Syrians started fighting for unknown reason.

At least 15 people were injured, as the spokesman of the Coordinating Body for the Management of the Refugee Crisis, Giorgos Kyritsis, said on his Twitter account.

Many of the injured had scrapes, while eight of them needed further treatment and one refugee had to be transferred to a hospital due to injuries on the head. According to information, he will be transferred to another hospital better equipped for treatment.

The incident started for unknown reason, but it was so violent that squads of riot police had to intervene. Also, part of the facilities were set ablaze and fire service was called to put out the fire.
