Schäuble asks Greece to implement those agreed

He said that the participation of the IMF in the Greek program is a prerequisite

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble reiterated that Athens should quickly implement the agreed and proceed to the review of the Greek program so as not to risk the economic recovery process.

Speaking to journalists on Friday evening after the end of ECOFIN meeting, Mr. Schäuble said that the participation of the IMF in the Greek program is a prerequisite, while he aslo expressed his satisfaction on the fact that the Greek government has confirmed again that it wants IMF to participate in the program, as it was agreed last August.

He also said that “Greek government must implement those agreed. This is why some points need to be clarified before the beginning of the review” highlighting the issue of pension and social security reforms.
