OTE and Cosmote offer scholarships to Greek students in their freshmen year

Fifty scholarships worth fifteen thousand euros (15.000€) each, for freshmen students in Greece facing financial and social difficulties, were announced by ΟΤΕ and COSMOTE for the 2015-2016 academic year.

The OTE-COSMOTE Scholarships Program, constitutes a significant institution for the Group that, for the past 14 years, has been continuously supporting young people in their effort to overcome difficulties and embark on their studies. Reconfirming their belief in the new generation, the two companies are significantly expanding the program this year, increasing the scholarships from twenty to fifty, and the total financial contribution for the benefit of young students to 750,000 euros.

The Chairman and CEO of the OTE Group, Mr. Michael Tsamaz, commented on the matter: “For the past fourteen years we have been supporting young university students who are giving their personal struggle against difficulties to advance in life, to learn, to grow. The course of these youths, both on an academic and personal level, verifies our belief that young people can thrive with the proper support. It is not enough to say that we believe in young people, we must also prove it with deeds. That is why this year,we have increased our scholarships from 20 to 50. By supporting more youths we multiply our collective hope for a better future”.
