European Parliament President Martin Schulz spoke to Efimerida ton Syntakton and stressed the need for a fair distribution of refugees throughout the countries of European Union.

Martin Schulz rejected the claims that Germany is trying to avoid its responsibilities and proposed to increase the accountability of Troika urging the Greek government to implement the agreed measures.

He said that Germany has received half of million asylum seekers over the last seven weeks, while a huge number of refugees will continue heading to Germany underlying that Germans will keep welcoming these people, especially if they see that there is a fair system for their redistribution throughout the European Union.
