Marine Le Pen’s ‘feud’ with Closer tabloid magazine inspired the social media users to have fan with the selfie posted by the National Front leader herself, in order to deny rumours that she has separated from her partner -and National Front vice president – Louis Aliot.
After French celebrity magazine Closer reported that the couple had separated, Le Pen posted a photo of the two kissing on her Twitter profile. “Live from Perpignan, special dedication to Closer!” she tweeted along with the photo.
The image was an instant hit on social media websites and before long was being merged with other photos and going viral.
Among the spoofs of Marine Le Pen are one in which she appears kissing Spiderman, one where she smooches famous movie star Ryan Gosling and one with her rival, President Francois Hollande.
