Just a few hours after the curtain fell on the regular season in the Super League 1, PAOK and Olympiacos emerged as the big winners of the 26th match-day. The black-and-whites claimed the top spot after AEK’s draw with Aris, while the red-and-whites found themselves in third place due to Panathinaikos’ draw in Heraklion. Now, all eyes turn to the playoffs, which kick off next Sunday, March 10th.

Before the draw, it was known that PAOK and Olympiacos couldn’t face each other on Match-day 1, as both teams have European matches for the Round of 16 in the Conference League.

Therefore, the likelihood of derbies with the other two teams increased, and in the opening round, we have the eternal derby and the Thessaloniki derby, with AEK starting from Lamia’s home stadium.
