Strikes: No subway, suburban trains, ships, trams, taxis – Buses started at 9, flights are not effected

Strike one year after the tragedy in Tempi – Only buses on the streets from 9:00′

The subway, HSAP, and tram are have stopped for 24 hours due to a strike and hundreds of unions, with a focus on the tragic anniversary of the Tempi accident as well as demands for wage increases to help households cope with the cost of living.

ADEDY, EKA, SYRIZA Youth, New Left will gather at 11:00 at Klafthmonos Square, while PAME will gather at 10:30 at the Propylaea with the main slogan “their profits, our lives – This crime will not be forgotten. Responsibilities must be attributed.”

Non-parliamentary groups will gather at 10:30 at Chauteia, while a gathering is scheduled at the Venizelos Statue in Thessaloniki at the same time.

According to a statement by the Hellenic Police for better traffic management and congestion relief, necessary traffic measures will be taken, including diversions and traffic interruptions.

Specifically, traffic regulations will be implemented on roads around the Propylaea, Klafthmonos Square, Omonia Square (Peiraios, Patision, etc.), Syntagma Square (Amalias Avenue, Vasilissis Sofias Avenue), as well as on University and Stadium avenues.
