SYRIZA leader Stefanos Kasselakis says he wants two boys with male partner Tyler

“We’d like to have two boys, Apollo and Elijah”, he said in an interview

The newly elected president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, spoke about his relationship with Tyler Macbeth and their desire to start a family with two children, in an interview with Stavros Theodorakis on ALPHA TV.

Specifically, he said, “I have not been bullied, no, not even with Tyler. And in America, there is some homophobia and bullying but we have not felt it. Some people may sometimes give us strange looks but at the end of the day, we know who we are. Tyler has a heart of gold who has helped so many people in hospitals, in ICUs.”

Referring to the family, he said: “I think we are already family. You become a family when you have a fellow human being with whom you align yourself psychologically, and value-wise, and create your ecosystem. Two people who choose love are a family. Love makes the family. Tyler and I, Tyler and I, would like to expand our family. We’d like to have two boys, Apollo and Elijah. Someday we might christen them, I don’t know, we’ll see. But we would like to have two boys with a surrogate mother because we would like the personality of each of us to be transferred to the children so that, obviously we love each other, there is that continuity.”

“Obviously it’s very important that other couples choose adoption and in my eyes, they are just as much families. It’s everyone’s personal choice. We shouldn’t forget that, we’re talking about people’s lives and finally, the government needs to understand that and, if they want a marriage equality bill, we tabled one as SYRIZA about a year ago and we’ll table it again. Ηic Rhodus, hic salta” he added.
