The Greek killed in eastern Ukraine

Photojournalist Athanassios Kosse is, according to information, the Greek man killed in eastern Ukraine, in battles around Donetsk airport.

According to preliminary reports, the Greek man from Eastern Ukraine was killed on the 18th of November near Donetsk airport from enemy fire by the Ukrainian national guard and nationalist groups.

Athanassios Kosse was born and raised in a nearby area. He left it 20 years ago for Greece, where his family lives. Last May, however, Athanassios went back to Donetsk to visit his mother and decided to stay there and help her.

According to the newspaper “Modern Russia”, Kosse had cameras with him and was gathering material to shoot a documentary titled: “The white book of fascism in Ukraine”.
