Turkish FM says ‘spy’ behind smuggling of UK school girls into ISIS-held Syria

Turkish authorities have arrested the spy – According to Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu the spy is not from the USA or an EU country

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Thursday said a spy working for a country fighting the Islamic State is the one who helped three British girls thought to have crossed into Syria via Turkey.

Cavusoglu also claimed that the “spy” has been arrested and that it turned out to be someone who worked in the intelligence services of a country in the anti-ISIS coalition.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of would-be jihadis from more than 80 nations, including Britain and other parts of Europe, China and the United States, have joined the Islamic State and other radical groups in Syria and Iraq, many crossing through Turkey.

Finally, the Turkish FM stressed that the spy is not from the US or a European country.
