“There are no layoffs to be made in Local Authorities,” said the new Greek Minister of Interior

There are two thousand transfers to be made

“There are no layoffs to be made in Local Authorities,” said the new Minister of Interior Mr. Argyris Dinopoulos in an interview in the local newspaper of Patras, “Peloponnese Sunday.” Indeed, he added, there are two thousand transfers to be made, from one municipality to another or from one region to another, but only voluntarily.

“Already,”  said the Minister of Interior “about a thousand employees have used this program in the first phase and are now working in the municipality of their choice, by statute which strictly  provides that they will not ever get back in availability.”

He also said that nurseries will operate as  normal and that they are looking for resources in order to reduce the number of children in creative play centers.

Mr. Dinopoulos, as a son of a Military said that he agrees with the economic rehabilitation of the uniformed and added that as the economic situation gets relieved, the government must exercise social policy.
