Tragic end in Sydney with two of the hostages and the perpetrator dead

Three other hostages and a police officer in critical condition – The police entered in the cafe where Iranian Imam held a total of 17 hostages with a shielded vehicle

Following the long captivity in the cafe in Sydney of Australia three people have lost their lives.

The perpetrator was a 50 year old Iranian Man maroon Monis who was consider to be a hardline Muslim cleric.

The intervention of Australian commandos resulted in carnage with the perpetrator dead, while two hostages, a 34 year old man and a 38year old woman also died during the operation. According to reports at least one hostage was killed by gunfire by the Imam, while there are reports that the second ended up in hospital after a heart attack.

Four more people are hospitalized in a critical state including a police officer injured by a bullet in his face.

According to the police the perpetrator held a total of 17 people hostages including the ones that managed to get away.

The police entered in the cafe with a shielded vehicle after 16 hours.

The decision for the invasion was taken immediately after the sound of gunfire from the cafeteria, explained to reporters police spokesman.
