TransAsia casualty list: 32 dead, 11 missing

Fifteen passengers were rescued

The list of casualties from yesterday’s TransAsia flight accident has reached 32. 11 are still missing, while 15 were rescued from within the airplane wreckage.

Three minutes after take-off, the aircraft lost most of its acquired height, had a close “shave” above buildings, hit an overpass and crashed into Taipei’s nearby river. Amongst the survivors was a small child. Information gathered from the Mayday signal hints to an engine failure.
