Transitions festival at Onassis Cultural Center: Is it art or politics?

This year’s festival focuses on Latin America

The “Transitions” festival marries art and politics while seeking to broaden and deepen the cultural dialogue with societies shaken by runaway political and economic changes. Held at the Onassis Cultural Center from November 11 to November 29, it brings artists from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia .

Last year the festival explored the Balkans, but this year it casts the spotlight on the independent arts scene in Latin America.

Expect to see unconventional productions that cast taboos aside, entering a grey zone that tackles difficult issues.
