There is no question of a meeting between SYRIZA president Alexis Tsipras and the President Karolos Papoulias next week, despite rumors circulating in recent days.

According to said rumors, Mr. Tsipras would try, through Mr. Papoulias, to put pressure on the referendum for the “small PPC”, but this is contradicted with abhorrence by the former’s party.

Sources from SYRIZA state that there was never such a possibility, while they attribute the leak to a close associate of the Prime Minister, Chrysanthos Lazaridis.
