Tsipras visits Madrid, claims he will change the Greek political scenery

He met with European left leaders

His optimism that in the European south, political correlations have already begun to change and the confidence that Greece will experience a political shift very soon, was expressed by Alexis Tsipras in Madrid, from Madrid where he is attending a European left conference.

Mr. Tsipras met with the head of the United Left in Spain, Cayo Lara and the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Spain Jose Luis Centella, pointing out that they have been fighting together, to stop neoliberal policies of social injustice, austerity, which generate poverty and unemployment.

SYRIZA’s president criticized the Greek government and their celebrations on the exit from the recession, noting that at the same time that they call for growth, society groans under the pressure.

As he said: “Two parties that have no tolerance to the Greek people govern, who are a minority, who want to continue implementing Memorandum policies. I do not know if I should laugh or cry but these parties, who created 1.5 million unemployed and 3 million poor, now celebrate because they claim they brought growth back”.
