Turkish media present map of range of new Tayfun missile in latest provocation against Greece

The media picked up where Erdogan left off on the polemic rhetoric

The “baton” of the provocations against Greece passed on to Turkish media from Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding the Tayfun missile, as the news outlets toeing the Turkish government’s line, did not hesitate to present maps with the missile’s new range. As shown on the map, with the new range, the missile is capable in theory of reaching the “heart” of Europe, Egypt, and the Arabian Gulf.

By “obeying” Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s demands that the range of the missile exceeds 560 km and reaches 1,000 km, the Turkish media tried to visualise the whims of the president of Turkey.

Erdogan’s reference to the new range of the Tayfun missile was made only yesterday, Monday (19/12) evening with the Turkish president mentioning technical features, accompanying his words with the threat of “we will come suddenly one night”:

“What are they telling us? How the crazy Turks are coming. Especially for the Tayfun missile, we were told that its range reaches 560 kilometers. We didn’t find it enough and we had a relevant meeting last week. ‘What is the final state we are in?’, I asked. We will reach 1,000 kilometers. Doesn’t that make the Greeks jump?’

In fact, wanting to make his threats clearer, Erdogan added: “Greece should not mess with us. We told them we can come out of nowhere one night, and we can prove it. If they don’t comply and stop provoking in the Aegean, we will do whatever is necessary. We have no dispute with you in the Aegean”.
