During his interview to the Turkish news agency Anatolia, the Former British Minister of Foreign Affairs and currently Labor party MP Jack Straw stated that: “International community must accept the division of Cyprus, so both communities can create their own relationships. This will be a much clearer system “.

Further, Mr. Straw stressed that the above is the perfect solution in case that Cyprus wants to be a happy and united island with a bicommunal and bi-zonal solution .

“Ten years ago the Greek-Turkish side proved that does not accept a solution like the above”, stated the British former Minister and added that  “Turkish – Cypriots are not the ones responsible for the  freeze of negotiations” .
