A tourist from the UK was killed when he fell from a balcony of the third floor of a hotel in the Kanoni area of ​​Corfu.

The 46-year-old man, who was with his partner for a short vacation on the island, is said to have committed suicide, while as Corfu medical examiner Ioannis Aivatidis told Athens News Agency, “the side effects of the antidepressant drugs he was taking will be examined”.

The incident happened shortly after midnight, while from the indications so far, foul play has been ruled out.
