United States urges Turkey to take action against the Islamic State

“A joint military planning team will visit Ankara early next week to follow up in military-to-military channels,” Jen Psaki said

United States will send a military team to Ankara, Turkey in order to discuss about the ISIS crisis attempting to increase the pressure on Turkey so as to participate in operations against the jihadists.

“A joint military planning team will visit Ankara early next week to follow up in military-to-military channels,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Thursday.

Two senior officials have already discussed several measures to “advance the military line of effort against ISIL,” Psaki said.

Meanwhile, US bombers carried out 9 airstrikes against ISIS fighters in Kobani area. The new airstrikes destroyed buildings used by the fighters, a tank, a heavy machine gun and four groups of fighters in the south and north of Kobani.
