Notorious Romanian ‘star’ economist Delia Velculescu has acquired something of a cult status amongst members of the Greek press. Accompanied by an entourage of 20 security guards she landed in Athens, passing through the main entrance of the Athens Hilton just before 8 p.m. After a brief 20-minute repose in her hotel suite, she flung herself straight into the battle of Greek finances in another room at around 9 p.m.
Soon after a brief break to “powder her nose” she had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant until midnight.
