Lewis Clark, from the Isle of Man, died instantly along with another rider on the mountain course and “little was left of his bike”. This is the horrifying moment a biker was killed in a head-on crash as his vehicle burst into flames.
Lewis Clark, 22, from the Isle of Man, died instantly when another rider crossed his path and into his lane without warning.
Lewis’s devastated mum has given permission for the footage to be released in a bid to improve road safety.
An on-bike camera captured Lewis’s final moments as he was “riding free” through the mountains.
Both the families of Lewis and the other rider, who also died in the smash, have agreed to show the footage as a warning to other bikers. Lewis’s mum Beverley said: “If I can just save one life, then something positive will have come out of this horrific journey that we’re now on.”
The video shows riders overtaking and returning to their lane on the mountain route – but one biker strayed into Lewis’s path.
A huge fireball can be seen in the distance and a plume of grey smoke billows into the sky.
Beverley added: “My arms just ache to hold my baby boy every day.”
