Greeks Gone West is a series of video vignettes the US Embassy in Athens made about the world of work in the US. These videos aim to improve the understanding of US society through the prism of Greeks and Greek-Americans with interesting work lives while also showing possibilities during a time, in Greece, when life seems full of limitations and frustrations.

Today’s video features Demetre Costas Daskalakis who is a physician activist and director of HIV services at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai hospital. He is also considered to be a leader in efforts to vaccinate gay men for meningitis.
