Zeus summons the other gods so that they can discuss the collapse of the Greek economy in a parody aired on Saturday Night Live at the start of the Greek economic crisis. “The Greeks are widely known as a hardworking industrious people,” says Zeus. “A people willing to labor week in and week out, three days a week, one hour a week to the age of 45.” The gods then try to find a solution for Greek financial woes only to discover that there is no god of finance, and end up blaming the god of partying for Greece’s problems.
